Hi, I’m Josh, owner and solo bakerpreneur at Wildes Bakery. If you’ve not guessed it so far, Wildes is a place to buy handmade bread and sweet goodies in Truro. From zesty morning buns for a cheeky breakfast to an epic white loaf for the ultimate cheese toastie – we’ve got you covered!

But it’s more than that too – after leaving my 9-to-5 corporate job in marketing back in 2023, I wanted to create a bakery that’s part of the community and makes buying good quality bread (with a proper crust and no nasty additives) accessible for busy people. That’s why I’m offering free delivery to your home within the centre of Truro or easy self-service collection – simply order by midnight on Wednesday and get baked goodies on Friday.

Completely self-taught, I’ve been baking for as long as I can remember and you can safely say I’m obsessed about food. When I’m not arched over a mixing bowl, you’ll find me exploring Cornwall’s incredible foodie scene. From small delis to pop-up feast nights, there is so much to explore in this wonderful county. So alongside all the baked content on our social media feed and email newsletters, expect plenty of shout outs for my favourite foodie businesses.
